In December, 2010, I performed the roles of Frau Kneipp and Königin Galatea with the wonderful company <a title=”Chicago Folks Operetta” href=”http://www.chicagofolksoperetta.org” target=”_blank”>Chicago Folks Operetta</a>’s in their production of <em>Peter and Paul in the Land of Nod</em> (originally entitled <em>Peter und Paul reisen ins Schlaraffenland</em>) by Franz Lehár.
This video, set to “The Acrobats Galop,” is a compilation of scene snippets from that production conducted by Marta Johnson, directed by Gerald Frantzen and choreographed by August Tye. The original German libretto was translated into English by Hersh Glagov and Gerald Frantzen.
