Shortly after Robert K. Elder’s article was published in the Trib a couple of months ago, I was contacted by an administrator at a retirement community. While presenting recitals doesn’t fall under the scope of what OperaGram.com® does, it does fall under what I’ve done over the course of most of my life: Sing!
The wonderful folk in Batavia heard Verdi arias and sang along to Cole Porter tunes. “Rosehilde” showed up and all sang happy birthday to eight people celebrating birthdays in June. A Q&A followed and some hillarious questions were asked. Cake was had by all!
