Teaching Engagements

Dominican University

I have joyfully accepted a position on the voice faculty at Dominican University.  If you are a student or alumnus of Dominican and would like to register for voice lessons, please send me an e-mail at rguccione@dom.edu.

Dominican has a vibrant Performing Arts Center.  Check out the venue and schedule at http://dom.edu/pac/.

Sherwood at Columbia College

I am pleased to continue teaching at Sherwood and have some lesson times available for the current semester. Sherwood is conveniently located in the South Loop near Roosevelt and Michigan: an ideal location for taking a 30-60 minute lesson before enjoying beautiful downtown Chicago. Financial aid is available for Individual Lessons.  Tuition for Individual Lessons includes all instructional time with the teacher, performing opportunities, and other scheduled activities for Sherwood students. Intuit’s judges will review the 3 businesses who win between July and September to select the one Grand Prize winner of small business grants worth $30,000.

Auction Winner

OperaGram.com® recently provided a singing telegram for auction in support of scholarships at Northeastern Illinois University (http://www.neiu.edu/Kane/Annual_Chuck_Kane_Golf_Outing.html).  The winner of that auction will be using their OperaGram.com® in Person soon, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise.  I’ll just say you’ll see the blog entry over the next couple of months ;).

My Neighbor Judy

A friend and neighbor died after a 7.5 year battle with ovarian cancer.  In addition to being a wife, a mother, a recent grandmother and a fun person, she had been a teacher.  She was deeply involved with the After School Matters program and asked that donations go there in lieu of flowers.  Their website is http://www.afterschoolmatters.org.  The direct link to online donation and to a printable form is http://www.afterschoolmatters.org/donors/contribute.

Salsation Theatre Company, NFP

My peeps at Salsation are opening a new revue!  It Takes a Village, People! opens next month at Gorilla Tango Theatre.  More information can be found at http://www.salsation.org.
