Wei Wei booked a singing telegram well in advance of her husband’s 40th birthday party. I burst into the room singing a little “ho-jo-to-ho.” I teased Tomas a little saying that Wei Wei said he was waaaaay waaaaay into karaoke and asked if he could teach me the song. While I was coaxing him into singing the song (which Wei Wei cued up on their karaoke machine), the most adorable little child came up to me wanting to be lifted up. Because I’m big and strong like Viking, I cradled him in my arms and he rested his head on my shoulder. I have a feeling that 15 or so years from now, that child will be studying opera. Tom, by the way, was a fantastic sport. Laughter, cheers, and a hearty round of happy birthday was sung by all.
