To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Home Instead Senior Care partnered with Weiss Memorial Hospital to bring accordion music and love songs to seniors today. Music has an amazing ability to release emotion. Highlights included a sing-a-long in the physical therapy room ;-D. Here is a quote from Weiss’ press release:
Vocalists serenade patients at Weiss Memorial Hospital with popular love songs heading into Valentine’s Day, encouraging healing in a unique way. Weiss, along with Home Instead Senior Care, invite singers from the Northeastern Illinois University Department of Music to warm the heart, heal the soul and celebrate love. Following their love-song serenades, some 50 patients will receive a flower and, those without dietary restrictions, a box of chocolates.
